CP Environmental Group, Inc. Named to Pennsylvania’s Top Business List for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, February 2011. In recognition of the economic power of privately held businesses, DiversityBusiness.com, the nations’ leading business-to-business internet site, recently named CP Environmental Group (CPEG) as one of the top businesses in Pennsylvania and the United States.  CPEG was named to two lists this year:  Top 100 Woman Owned Businesses in Pennsylvania and Top 500 Emerging Businesses in the United States.

This is the 11th annual listing of Pennsylvania’s top businesses by DiversityBusiness.com.  Companies listed on the Top Business Lists represent the Nation’s top multicultural earners and challenge the long-held notion that a privately held business is small or insignificant. Winners are sought after by major corporations wishing to increase spending with small businesses.

On being notified of CPEG’s selection, Peggy Carpenter, President, said

“We are honored to have been selected as one of Pennsylvania’s Top 100 diversity-owned businesses for the fourth year in a row and, new for 2009, to the Top 500 woman-owned businesses in Pennsylvania along with the Top 500 Emerging Businesses in the United States.  This recognition was only achieved through the hard work and dedication of the CPEG team to provide cost-effective and creative business solutions to our clients’ environmental challenges – achieving/exceeding our clients’ expectations is one of our basic operating principles.”

“Entrepreneurs are a growing force in the U.S. economy, and a force to be reckoned with,” said Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer Consulting Associates International, the company that built DiversityBusiness.com. This is a whole business segment that can carry its own, that provides jobs, products and services, and generates wealth for their communities.  These are the new leaders in American business.”

The List

This List is a classification that represents the top small businesses in the U.S., in sectors such as technology, manufacturing, food service and professional services. Large organizational buyers throughout the country that do business with multicultural, small and women-owned businesses use the list. The List is produced annually by DiversityBusiness.com, the nation's leading multicultural B2B Internet portal that links large organizational buyers to multicultural product and service suppliers.

The winning companies are honored at a special awards ceremony at DiversityBusiness.com’s “11th Annual Multicultural Business Conference”, April 19-21, 2011 at GayLord National Resorts, Washington DC.
